Hi Guys,
Followed the recipe as per the Coopers Website, except for i boiled the lot before pitching the yeast(Sat 21st May 4:00pm). I took the OG reding at 1050 at 21 degrees.
Stayed constant st 20-21 degrees.
It is now Tues 24th and bubbling through the air lock has stopped and my only problem is my hydrometer broke due to the touch of an idiot.
I was just wondering if there are any pointers that i coul get because the soonest i can get a new hydrometer is Friday.
Cheers,
Nathan
Irish Ale Help
Nathan,
No harm will come to your brew if you leave it untill after Friday to check with the new hydrometer.
I did an Irish Stout recently and left it in the primary for 3 weeks. It was with a can of coopers dark malt. Came up really quite drinkable when I tried it last week, needing only to carbonate a little more.
Cheers,
Greg.
