Hi guys,
I just put down an ag cheq pilsner (first go at it for winter) just wanted to know If I'm on the right track .Once the primary fermentation is over and its time to rack and lager,I just wanted to ask rhe following questions 1.I'm going to use jerry can water containers as I read I can store more of them in the fridge to cc, so do I need an air lock?
2.after 4 to 5 weeks of cc and its time to bottle do I need to prime my bottles or will there be enough gas from the cc ?
lagering and storage questions
Re: lagering and storage questions
I don't use an airlock on my lagering containers. All you need to do is each 2 or 3 days, just unscrew the cap slightly to let off any pressure.
You must prime your bottles (or bulk prime), otherwise you will have flat beer.

thanks warra,
that puts me where I was thining, beauty!
No air locks means I dont have to muck around too much with my fridge. I only got a bit concerned about priming after I read a post on lagering there was no mention of bulk priming, bottle priming ect yet a lot of discussion on gas.
