Finings

Hi,

In my first batch my instructions said to put finings in when you add the mix/hops etc. However now I'm worried. Will that have destroyed my brew?

I only ask cause I'm about to put another one down and don't want to make the same mistake twice.

Cheers
Jon

Forget about finings, it is not necessary.

Try racking ( search function will help you there) or just let your brew sit in the primary for a bit longer

I found that adding Irish Moss to my kit and extract brews was a waste of time, effort and moss.

Grain brewing is different - I wouldn't mash up a wort without it.

Other forms of fining in my opinion remain a waste.
