Burn't wort

Post by the_fuzz »

Hey Guys,

I have just put together,

1.5kg of BE2
500grams of LDME
2 Litres or Water
125 Grams of Vienna
Boiled with 12Grams of POR
Added 24 grams of Saaz, however, just before I was about the turn off the boil, it burn't....

It's a cheap pot and the wort burn't to the pot

It smells ok, but do you think it will impart a lot of "burn't" taste?

taste it. if you left the burnt bit behind in the pot it should be ok. anyway, a tiny amount of burnt flavour could contribute a nice roastiness, depending on the style you're after

And next time maybe add some more water like about 3-4 litres, will help you solve this problem and also make sure its well stirred in
