for fucks sake yardy just gave a gruff reply to someone who was engaging in the sadly increasing practice of charging in like a dumbfuck and expecting everyone to help him out

you know when you go to the HBS, you pay a little extra on each purchase, effectively in return for the advice you get from the staff

you don't pay anything here and often the advice far exceeds anything coming out of the local HBS, yet you can't be bothered spending 30 mins researching and having the decency to learn the basics so as to save these good people a little time

Sorry tcc, I didn't know that polite responses were considered a commodity in this forum. I always figured that its bunch of guys who like beer.

I make a thread asking a question. I don't expect everyone to help me, but if someone on the forum is inclined to do so then I appreciate it. There's nothing forcing you to help people, if you don't want to do it then don't. Just don't bitch about it. There seems to be plenty of fellas who are willing to share their knowlege and experience.

I dont think its a matter of saving people time TCC...this forum is for everyone to learn at all stages of brewing, whether it be a very new beginner or experienced brewers...if ya stop learning, ya dead...not to take away what you are saying, I do believe if anyone is going to be part of this forum, the search function is something that is very useful but asking questions that some people may in fact have a ready answer for or even know more about should not be something that is shunned...whilst I do believe this particular thread is a complete waste of space, there are some valid points being made, however I dont believe there was any reason for this to get out of hand!...Enough said...please, everyone, get back to what we all come here for...brewing! :D
