Sounds ok.... i have heard of others putting hops in coffee filters, and stapling/ folding shut.... i think that works....

I havent tried it....

They expand quite a bit though, this is why I think something rather strong is needed. Though I guess the worst that could happen is the tea bag bursts open!

I've just done a few brews where I used the retail 12g foil pack of goldings which are in a net bag. Boiled for 3 minutes and added to the fermenter. Left them for the full ferment 10 days. Very nice.

I just steal the missus's stockings :lol: :lol:
I dont dry hop that often infact i have only just started to as a bit of an experiment and i find that the foot of a stocking tied off with plenty of room for expantion works well :wink:

I'm with lethal. I got mrs warra to buy me the knee high stockings. I boiled them to make sure they're sanitised (probably overkill), and used them for hops and also steeping grains. And they're reuseable if you can be bothered cleaning them, although they're cheap enough to go for one use only if you want to.

someone said something about dyes once. it may have been oliver. so boiling them was quite probably a good idea.
