Green Flash Palate Wrecker. This has been sitting in my bar fridge for at least 3 months, so I finally decided to crack it tonight. 9.5% abv, 100+ IBU. And sure enough, holy cow that's a B.I.G. beer. BIG malt sweetness, and BIG piney hop hit. I'm officially done for tonight!

It's ok CF, I've got a stubby of Sierra Nevada's "Hoptimum" in the fridge ready to share next time we catch up...10.4% abv, 100 IBU...bittered with Magnum, finished with Chinook and Simcoe. In fact we should try pouring it directly on your ankle, it's a magical elixir after all!

Was really interesting...with this IPA I bottled half of it, then dry hopped the remaining half for 5 days, before bottling that.

Just drank the dry hopped version first, in that glass...great aroma, fantastic hoppy taste. Then straight away poured one of the non dry hopped brews....virtually no hop aroma, still a good taste, but certainly not as good as the dry hopped one.

Now that being said, the dry hopped version has only been in the bottle 7 days (I 'tested' the last bottle bottled so it'd be carbed), whereas the non dry hopped has been in nearly 2 weeks. Will be interesting to see how both beers develop over time.

A nice shiraz with my fillet steak and mushrooms. Very nice. Getting primed for our wine bottling tomorrow. Should have a few cases of Shiraz in the cellar tomorrow night. Wicked!

Way to go Guru. Maybe there's more to life than beer. Or maybe not...

4 pines brewing pale ale. From Manly apparently. Not a bad drop. Nice hop aroma, hop flavour there but not quite as pronounced. Also good bitterness to match. Could do with a little more body but still a good drink.

Our own homebrew red wine. "thefoxhat" Shiraz mentioned in this thread

Drinking pretty good but will get better with more time in the bottle.

It is the goods, grapes come from a grower in Great Western who sells his version of what we have at $45 bottle.

Anyone who is ever up Mildura, look me up and I'll supply a tasting session. :D
