I'm looking to do my second all extract, and I would like to put down a James Squire Amber Ale clone. I've had look within this forum and I can only find kits + bits. I also had a look at the AHB recipe database, but I must be doing something wrong as I could not locate it. I've got the beersmith software, so I can easily plan for the grains, hops etc...
I'm also planning to put down an all extract Golden Ale, and I'll be "borrowing" Dr Smurto's "winner" recipe.
I brewed a JS Amber clone as a Kits & Bits back in 2006. It was very tasty, but I've never brewed one since going AG.
Anyway, how's this for starters?

The Cluster hops are bittering only. You'll want to add some flavour and aroma hops, I think EKG, Fuggles and some more Cluster. The Cluster will give it the citrus character JS claims the beer has. You'll want to adjust the hops and AA% to give you bittering to your taste.
Adjust the Crystal malt to your taste.
I did a Dave's Homebrew (Nth Syd) amber kit as my third brew, was fantastic and really demonstrated where my beer could go with a few more ingredients.
I know it used Willamette, and I thought it worked very well in an Amber.
I personally don't mind cluster, but I think it has a harsh bite that could work (better for me) in other beers. That said, I could change my mind over a well brewed example.
