General homebrew discussion, tips and help on kit and malt extract brewing, and talk about equipment. Queries on sourcing supplies and equipment should go in The Store.
I've just put on my third home-brew (and am loving it so far), but have mistakingly added 24 litres of water (the beer is a Coopers Canadian Blonde). Obviously, this wort kit is only for 23. Will this be OK? What kind of thing should I expect.. with 1kg of BE1, will it just be slightly less strong (both alcohol percentage and flavour)? Have I condemned this brew to the garden?
Note: Tried to search for this question, but didn't have much luck. Apologies if it's a common question.
Yep a little less body and alc% but overall it will taste much the same, just for future reference if the kit says 23L then drop to 22 or even 21 for a better tasting fuller body beer

That's a good tip, and something I've been considering after the past couple of brews. Will give it a go for my next brew!
