Yep that's Broadford. Photo is just one from the track photographer of the day, finally found his website. Different bloke to the one you mentioned.

Yeh mate, I actually saw that last week. I still want to know who set up all those cones? That would have been one helluva tedious task for sure.

He has skills for sure.

The rider that is, and yes the cone man as well.

Could you even imagine the costs involved just to learn and practice that stuff!

Managed an over-nighter at Easter on the Tenere. Loaded up with tent and gear, and lobbed in to the Upper Jamieson hut for a bit of a fish, fire and a few drinks. A river crossing, lots of very rough gravel, some mud. Freezing cold 3 hour ride home after dark on the Sunday, even with all the liners in. Needed a couple of coffee and dim sim stops! A very nice ride, even though it was wall to wall 4x4 enthusiasts and bogans up there. Can't wait to do it again.

Sonny

No pics unfortunately. I have busted the old camera I used to carry in my fishing vest. But the chap I was up there with had a fancy video camera, so he might have some bits and pieces I can grab. I am a bit of a luddite too, so posting pics would be a learning experience for me....

I have a 97 XTZ 660, the one with the side-by-side headlights. Have had it about six months, and love it. Would like to do more camping and touring, so it is just about ideal.

Oh Big Dave, that was on my wish list when they were released. It began my dream for adventure riding, still yet to be achieved.
I watch that model on Ebay often and should I ever find a bargain I'm buying it.

Bloody nice bike, as is the new one too. I'm also considering trading the Rocky in on a Sertao, I'm just a bit attached to it still.

There has been an old Tenner like mine on Ebay for a while, but I found mine local. It is a good bike for me, because it isn't too fast. I can't have fast cars, because I want to drive them fast. Years ago I had a ZF Fairlaine with a Boss 351, 9" diff and the whole catastrophe. Lost 10 points (out of 12 in Vic) off my licence within four months of picking it up.

I would love to be able to do some more touring, but while the kids are small-ish, I will have to make do with day trips.

I'm hearin' ya Dave.
That's why I ride an R1150 but that hasn't proved very successful in holding my license either.
