Almost ready to go AG & looking at something similar to your brewery Warra - I'm imagining that you move the burner to the brewkettle to boil the wort? on top of the crates ?

I reckon that's an old pic, I'm sure he's got two burners these days, (Santa last year? see 2nd gas bottle). Personally don't recommend burning on top of crates, it looks like he has a piece of timber or similar under there.
Or go electric.
Cheers

No, I don't move it.

I have two burners in use in the brewery, each running from their own gas bottle.
One is permanently installed under the HLT. It sits between the bricks on the top shelf.

There is another burner I use for the kettle, and it sits on a shelf on the crates.

I have 3rd gas bottle as a reserve for when one runs out. I have a 4th bottle on the Weber upstairs on the deck.

Under the 2 burners in the brewery I have an aluminium plate on the shelves to deflect the heat back up.

great looking set up warra48.glad it works well. minimal lifting is a nice bonus too. i wouldn't want my neighbours looking through the window and seeing what i was up to though.u might have to invest in a set of curtains.haha.

I brew in the downstairs 4 car garage.
The 2 windows look out towards the fence with our neighbour.
He won't disturb me, because he died the week before last Christmas, and the house has been empty since then!

The only complaint I get is from mrs warra about the smell of the boil, but I don't complain about the aroma from her sewing and knitting, so I reckon we have a fair deal, lol.

sorry to hear about your neighbour warra48.i suppose its only fair if you have to put up the sewing and knitting that she lets you brew. im sure it saves a few dollars at xmas and special occasions too.

Not much chance of that.
She's basically allergic to alcohol, and doesn't drink.
