Oettinger Pils is on spesh at Dan Murphys

Guys,

I went to my local Dan Murphys (Balga in Perth), and they had cartons of Oettinger Pilsner on spesh for 29.90 a carton which is cheaper than any of the aussie made beers (except the lights). I bought a carton and tried it and its a really good drop. Its got the reinheitsgebot seal of approval, so it cant be too bad...

I just tend to buy the pilsners. becuase i know now hard it is to make.....and the time it takes to ferment...

Yeah mate I picked up some from Dans today for $30.

Bloody great price for a very drinkable beer.

Not the best Euro beer available, but plenty of malt and a crisp finish.

Great value.

Cheers,

i was wondering what people thought of it. I've tried it a couple of times and quite enjoyed it. Nice and crisp IIRC.

Best chilled down to zero degrees!

I find it quite a dirty tasting beer, especially after a few. The first one goes down ok but it goes downhill after that.

Still for the money, I suppose you could do a lot worse...

hehe I thought the same thing. I thought the first was quite nice, so was the second.....later it became an effort to drink and I was at a party and needed the buzz
