Tim quoted (page 3)Now since I could only get the hops in 25g packets, I was going to use 12.5g of each instead of the amounts in Boonies recipe, so I have enough to use to do the brew again in a few weeks time. Giving me a recipe as follows:
----------------
1.5kg Black Rock New Zealand Draught Tin
1.5kg Light Liquid Malt Extract Tin
12.5g Cascade Pellets (15 mins)
12.5g Golden Cluster Pellets (15 mins))
12.5g Chinook Pellets (dry hopped in keg)
US-05 Yeast
I obviously have a similar problem as I'm going to do the same thing....
The NZ Draught is one of my many out of date cans, finished product might be a bit darker in color.
I'm starting this one tomorrow. Will report back with results. May not be a LCPA clone??? but should be a cracking beer nevertheless.
G'day guys,
Just cracked this one (NZ draught) after 3-4 weeks in the bottle. An absolute success!!! The color is a bit darker re: out of date can, however side by side with a LCPA, it's like getting home and realising Jennifer Hawkins' twin sister is sitting on your couch. Truly an epiphany.
An absolute winner Boonie. Fantastic.
