James Squires-Hobart
Called in here for a couple while on holidays with the missus(why only a couple) recently. Its in Salamanca Square down near the harbour. great little pub, good atmosphere and all the squires beers on tap. Cascade brewery is also worth a visit, and in the whole time I was in Hobart I don't think I ...

Re: Wassa's Honey Porter
Very Nice drop
.Have it in the keg at the moment, I didn't let it age V. much but that didn't matter, though I must admit it's getting better by the day. Well done Wassa on coming up with this one.
Has anyone tried making it with some chocolate malt grain or should it just be left as is?

Re: Gas bottle pressure question
Dont Use Thread tape. If you have a gasket between the 2 flat surfaces and tighten the nut correctly(not cross threaded) it will seal.Thread tape on the threads is useless, not to mention very dodgy, on a loose nut fitting. If gas can escape from between the two flat surfaces the connection is has ...

Re: Wassa's Honey Porter
Just a quick question, as I'm making this recipe today, would this be OK kegged? I don't think I'll be able to wait 3 months to try it and I keg most of my beer as I hate washing bottles. I ussully get a keg and about half a dozen 500ml bottles per brew just to compare the different tastes after ...

Grand Ridge Brewery Moonlight nut brown ale
Bought this at first choice the other day $19 or so a six pack 330 ml, overpriced I thought after I looked at the label and found out it was a light beer 3.3%. Any way after opening I found it was very much over priced after it overflowed and left me with half a beer, drank what was left and burped ...

Re: Bright Brewery
Yep, agree totally Oliver, Beechworth shits on Bright as far as customer service goes, I think thats because the brewers hardly ever work there and they only have employees that maybe aren't as passionate about beer as us.
Re: Drip tray
Personal attacks from Daron1973 do not worry me cause I have been called worse things by better people and by the way Roos supporters aren't much better.Isn't this a beer forum ? We'll sort this out next time I'm in Melbourne Daz ,you Idiot.
Re: Drip tray
If that yellow stripe was red it'd be a really good fridge.

Re: Bright Brewery
Have to say Beechworth Brewery has it all over Bright brewery for quality of beer. I was not impressed with the beers at Bright after trying Beechworths. Bright did have a better view overlooking the pool on a hot summer’s day though.

Re: Dual Regulator
Try kegsonline.com.au,they can apparently join another reg to your existing micromatic reg,but you have to send your reg to them so they can do it,which I will do as soon as I get my head around :? not being able to drink my beer for a week or so,especially when the G/F is coming up.Anyway, enough ...

There is a store opening here soon.Just wondering if anyone has seen one or has any thoughts on this store,if you've seen one.As far as I can see you go there and brew some beer at the store from one of the recipes they offer, which look pretty good. Then you book in to go back and bottle or keg your ...
