Re: Woolworths/Coles beer products

It just depends on what you expect, simple homebrew that is super cheap is ok from the major stores, if you want to add extras then you will need a home brew store... kit and water, and brew... perfect starter

we have been using 1 carbonation drop (coopers brand) per 375ml bottle which is recommended on the packet for the drops!! We have found this the easiest way to brew..
Most of my beers are dark, but my my BF beers are lighter coloured beers and his are over frothing aswell!

thanks for the ideas, some of the brews are bottled at 2 weeks so that would probably cover that one, but my b.friend leaves his for at least 3/4 weeks and his froth over as well!! But i will defiantly be a bit more patient with mine and bottle after longer!

I realy enjoy pale/golden ales and would like to take the next step up from using can kits. I am interested in brewing from scratch.
Does anyone have any ideas, recipes or ...

adding honey

we have always added the honey right after adding the brew kit, it doesnt seem to do anything to the beer if it is added then and i think it adds a better flavour if it is in for longer, i have also tried this method with a honey cherry beer with great effects
