Cleaning Bottles

I got some second hand long necks from work....
Now having second thoughts about using them, as i dont know where they have come from and cleanlyness etc.

What do you use to REALI wash them? I dont mean wash them between uses etc i mean reali giving them a wash??

Any ideas?

Soak them in napisan for a few days.

Get a bottle brush and give them a light scrub.

If that doesn't clean 'em, chuck 'em. :lol:

I once got got a pile of tallies filled with year old beer and mud and stagnant water, dead flies etc... Just wash em well in hot soapy water with a bottle brush. but be sure to sterilise them very well and let them sit in it for hours. with fricken bleach or strng chlorine.

One of mine still exploded, so maybe don't listen to me, but it wasn't the end of the world.

Pink Stain remover and a bottle brush. Your LHBS should be able to fix you up.

I fully endorse this method :)

I soak them for a week or so to make sure of it. Though there are the odd ones that are beyond help.
