My girlfriend and i are in the process of making our first cider, (can and sugar from coles).
The ferment has come along well and is ready to bottle. She is rather partial to a few glasses of a cheap champagne that will remain nameless.........The question is....Can we use the bottles and the plastic corks left over for our cider?
Any help on this will be appreciated.
wine bottle and corking question...
Re: wine bottle and corking question...
Should be fine but you'll need new wire watsits that stop the cork from popping back out. I can't remember what they're called but it's some French name.
Re: wine bottle and corking question...
They're called Museletes, or Champane wires. A better bet would be using a tirage size Crown Seal.
