Hi
I have just embarcked on my first home brew, and i have a couple of questions I hope somebody can answer for me.
When i get to the botterling stage and have washed and then steralised the bottles is is best to use them straight after steralisation or can the be stored at all. And can I use normal tape water to rinse the bottles after steralising or do i have to use cooled bioled water.
Thanks Pom

Thanks ryan for the advice.
My spelling probably could be better, I should have spent more of my time reading and less time drinking beer.
By the way don't think i've ever seen the word f#####g in the oxford dictionary.
Hey, but at least I now know that tap water is good enough to rinse my bottles with.

To avoid the whole rinsing issue altogether, I recommend that you try a no-rinse sanitiser. By all reports, it's damn good and really limits the chance of infection.

BTW, welcome to the hobby! :D

No-rinse steriliser is the best way to go, but if you are brewing with your tap water and all is well then there's no reason why you can't use it to rinse the bottles out

Grainandgrape.com.au is Vic-based. They are good.

Worth visiting too if you are in Melb.

G'day Pom - grab a bottle of Iodophor. It's an excellent no rinse sanitiser that I can thoroughly recommend. One bottle lasts ages...

Cheers, and welcome aboard!

Thanks trough lolly.
I have order some from grain and grape. The site chris told me was really good.
I take it that this leaves no residue behind to taste or taint to the beer?
