Brew Cellar English Ale Yeast

Post by drtom »

Hi All,

Just put on a K&K to use up some lurkers in the back of the cupboard:
Coopers Bitter
1kg LDME
500g dex
150g corn syrup

I found a Brew Cellar English Ale Yeast in *my* bit of the fridge. I can't actually remember when I bought it, but probably not *that* long ago.

Pitched it at 24 degrees (it's cold, and my heating mat is keeping my Trappist yeast starter warm, which is more important), and my lag time? Oh, about 5 minutes. It's about 1/2 an hour now, and the airlock is bubbling every 10s or so.

So it's a very active yeast. Time will tell if it tastes any good. :-)
