Carbonation of a English style IPA

Post by Bulaboy »

G'day all,

I'm after the desired carbonation level for a English style IPA. Ive done a bit of research on this and have come up with a Co2 1.5-2.3, does this sound about right? Beersmith suggests a Co2 level 2.2- 2.7 and now im confused.

Its bottling day tomorrow, so any advice is very much appreciated

Cheers BB

1.5 to 2.3 sounds the go to me. 2.2 - 2.7 would be too high- more like a US IPA.

I would shoot for something around 2 volumes. If you are used to Aussie lagers then something like 2.5 volumes is probably better.
Prost and happy brewing!
