General homebrew discussion, tips and help on kit and malt extract brewing, and talk about equipment. Queries on sourcing supplies and equipment should go in The Store.
I am just looking through my records and have just noticed that the brews with a higher start temp seem to have a slighlty higher SG.
Has anyone else noticed the same thing, done any testing on that? Or is it just coincedence.
Don't forget, you make beer to drink it.
Also, save the planet, 'cause it's the only one with beer in it.
I've read somewhere that hydrometer are "calibrated" in water at 20C.
I'm not sure how the temp affects it bit it sits slightly higher/lower depending
on temps.
Can't help more than that sorry, there is a post in here somewhere saying how it differs,
do a search on gravity readings and temperature.
