I recently put down a coopers euro lager and after 2 weeks @ ~12 deg, followed by 3 days at ~15 deg (fridge off) my sg is 1020.
I noticed it was high at about 10 days so I gave it a swirl then.
it is fairly fizzy so I figured the bubbles were causing the measurements to be off, but the beer seems a little sweet (wort-like) so I am pretty sure fermentation hasn't completed.
I racked it ready for lagering, but I am not sure whether I should repitch and/or leave it @12 for another week after racking, or just let it lager.
any thoughts?
lager stopped at 1020
Re: lager stopped at 1020
i had the same issue, untill i realised what was going on and remembered that my hydro is set for 22 degrees, so i warmed up the tube under some hot water withe my dial thermometer under in the tube. Hydo was actually reading 1018 and not 1022, then i racked, wich has a way of re-activating the yeast and it was done in a week, put it in a keg for lagering.
