Is there anywhere in Australia that i can these from? As in brought and delivered to me?? Im in Adelaide

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but no....

I wrote to the brewery itself and they said they have no distributor in Australia, and it seems like it wont be happening for a little while. the problem they face is the fact that the beer need to be refridgerated at all times and the cost associated with that doesnt make it economically viable to send to Aust.

I dont even think they send merchandise. bastards.

Here is what they wrote to me:

International distribution is difficult for us because we brew our beer in only one location (Chico, CA), and require refrigerated transport and warehousing. The cost of transport makes international distribution too pricey for us to consider at this time, but that is not to say we may not find an equitable manner to do so in the future.

Keep checking back with us, and thanks again for your interest in our beers -- when we do expand our exportation market, I am sure Australia will be one of the first we venture into.

I'm going to some beer tastings tonight, which have a beer importer and distributer (Vincent from BID) coming in. They do a few things from the USA (he brought some sam adams in last tastings). I'll see if he knows anything about the possibility of getting some SNPA in the the land of Aus.

I am off to Chicago at the end of April. This beer is certainly on my list to try. In fact I may spend a few days going over Oliver and Geoff's reviews from their recent excursion

I'm heading to Chicago around July.... But I'm a youngin (only 19) and they have a bloody 21 age limit on buying alcohol . O well, hopefully the bottle shop people are nice enough just to let me browse, and maybe take a few photos just to look at later and imagine I'm drinking the nice beers. Or I'm sure one of my mates over there has a fake ID or friends over 21

Also, Vincent didn't turn up for the tastings, instead it was just the bar doing tastings on some beer from their fridges. So I never got to ask him.

What are you doing in Chicago? Even if you are not into art, the Art Institute of Chicago has a museum which is incredible. I have been there numerous times and I still have not seen it all! Not to mention they are constantly adding new things and building onto it etc.

I lived there for 4 years of my life. Going back to visit some old friends there. Yea, can't remember if I have already been to the Art Institute of Chicago, but I'll try and make sure I stop by there when I go back.

Nice, I am from Chicago, well that area anyway. Where did you live in Chicago? What areas will you be visiting? I can probably recommend some other things for you to do and see there...

Well all my friends are out in the elmhurst/oakfield area (when their not at college). But I'll probably be spending alot of time in the city, as there isn't much at all to do in those areas

I put in my real age, and it took me to a site that would only tell me about their soda. Took me a while to realise the mistake I made. Yum, that place is on my to do list.

I did a bit of research on the legal drinking age in Illinois, and apparantly they have some exceptions. Couldn't quite figure it all out but I think if you are in a bar and someone over 21 buys the drink, you can legally drink it. If only I just waited another year and a bit to go over there

Currently, however, we are in the midst of making some very extensive changes to how we do business domestically. It is a three-year project and we are just completing year one. Please check back with us then, and thanks again for your interest in our beers.

So we alternated pints of these two, between pints of SNPA!!!

Lets see.... its roughly 8500Km between Chico and London, and about 12,000Km between Chico and Sydney.
I enjoyed the occasional Sierra Nevada Pale Ale when I lived in Washington state, but usually there was other products to try.
Didn't International Beer Shop import some Sierra Nevada Pale Ale once?

I could ask them?

There was a small-scale import agreement between some Australian retailers and the European distributor of SNPA for a while. When the brewery found out they shut it down.
