Yep. But it still better in secondary- if you rack obviously.

Yes just wait until the brew has finished, or is as near finished as possible. Boil a bit of womans nylon stocking, put something in to weight it down (I use sanatised glass marbles) and then put the hops in there. Drop that into the fermentor (this is best done in secondary as you can use the racking hose to circulate the brew through the stocking) and wait a few days.

Just be careful with how long you leave the cones in for. I find cones are more likely to get grassy on you if you leave them in too long.

so you cant just check them in there without a bag?

you can but you then need to rack it again or leave it to settle. I find the pantyhose trick works well or a tea ball

You could but it will start to clog your tap in the last few litres.

If you have a sediment reducer on your tap it is not much of a worry but it can cause bits in the beer, nothing worse than straining your beers into the glass to drink them

I've found Kev that even with the sediment reducer, yes I used to use them, it still clogged the tap as most of the Hop Flowers sat on the surface or an inch below. Depending on the amount you throw in I suppose, but why hold back

Boony, you are a complete Hop Head, I know, I have tasted your brews. (Work it out for yourself if that is praise or condemnation.
Cheers, Pete

I am a little fond of hops.
I did call the doc, aka Dr Amarillo, a hop head or Dr Hop

, we love the hop.
Pete, did you like the Wheat/Amarillo beer. Some were a little bitter I found and some were just right......dunno why, same batch.
I have a Cherry with 1kg of Fresh, then frozen (from advice on here), that is nice out of keg, for you Pete. Yours was nice so we can compare now.......
