Hello all!
Pretty stoked to have found this site and all the info that's up here is amazing! Can't wait to go through it all.
Anyways, just moved to Melbourne and was wondering if any of you could shamelessly plug any good HB stores. I'm living in Ashburton so anything close to there would be awesome.
Thanks in advance!

Don't exactly know where that is, but Grain and Grape are fantastic. And they deliver for a small fee in Melbourne

Er, Ashburton is in the Malvern/Glen Iris kind of area. The closest HBS I know of around that area is the Brewcraft in Oakleigh South - 24 Eskay Rd (03) 9579 1644.
I was born and grew up in Oakleigh South... I've never been to the Brewcraft though. I've heard it's OK for beginners, not so great for more advanced brewers.

I've found the Brewcraft store in Heidelberg quite good. Particularly the part-time bloke (he works in all 3 stores). Been to G&G twice and frankly found them a bit snooty towards newbies. Though they do have an excellent range of gear so I will go back. But speaking as a retail savvy person, they need to work on their customer relations a bit.
Hope I haven't offended anyone.

Maybe it was because I ride a motorbike

But I will go back there as everyone else seems to think they are great. But the bloke at at Brewcraft gave me one of his home brew Hoegaardens cause I said I was interested in doing a Belgian. It was really good.

Not close but I've been to the BrewCraft store just of Center Rd in Oakleigh South a lot and I've found they've been one of the most helpful HB stores yet and really know their stuff
Oakleigh South - 24 Eskay Rd (03) 9579 1644
Grape and Grain also as someone suggested above.
5/280 Whitehall St, Yarraville 9786 0061
You could also try Cellars Plus on Peel St in Melb just near the Vic Market.
106 Peel St, North Melbourne Vic 3051, Ph +61 (0)3 9328 1843
