Melb: Cheap crown seal bottles

I have a large number of crown seal bottles availble for Melbourne homebrewers.

A family member has the task of cleaning out a store room. There are two pallets of impoted beer, well out of date. The beer might not poison you but I wouldn't drink it.

I'll swap either one bottle of your best homebrew or Coopers Stout for a couple of dozen bottles. BYO crates if possible as some of the boxes are damp.

I'll take a few dozen please.

I've got several longies of my Coopers Toucan stout that you might be interested in. They're about 6 months old now so are getting good...

bang us an email when you get a chance - tyoung75 at optusnet dot com dot au.

Cheers,

Tim

Maybe no one read the part about my bottles not being empty? :?

Hi,

Are they brown, green or clear? They are longneck, right.

If they were longnecks, I'd be there in a flash... aren't they 330mL? I'm still considering it, because there are times when it's nice to bottle a whole batch in exactly the same bottles, looks more professional.

The bottles I have are heavy brown glass, crown seal, 650ml longneck. They are marked as returnable for refill so should be durable.

They are still full, best before Oct 2000.

The beer tasted OK, not off or moldy. I'm not drinking it, but I doubt you'll die if you do.

I have access to *LOTS* if you are really keen.

I am really keen. I know a lot of homebrewers who probably want some too. Can I come load up my car next week sometime? I'll pay the price asked for... stout time!

I'm after as many as I can fit in my car. I've got a Forrester, so not super huge, but not tiny either. I'll get back to you about this next week if that's ok; I'm going away for the weekend.

I found that about 30 dozen will fit in a Liberty wagon but it handled like sh!t.

Hi,

Do you have any bottles still available?. Only problem is I dont have any home brew available as I'm looking for bottles for my first batch. I could always send one around when I make it (if your game).

Hey Velophile, did you google that brand?

Thanks again for the bottles.

You're right - my sister in law spent some time in Mauritius last year and Phoenix is all they were drinking. At least I won't have to pour it down the drain now...

Thanks again, steve.

How many do you need? I've still got a few dozen at home & should be able to get some more.

I did search out the brewery online.

It could be fine chilled, in hot weather etc. I drink enough without adding several dozen free beers into my diet.

Enough for batch would be great or more if you want to get rid of them. I'd be greatful for any that you have.

Hi Velo,

I could use some of those bottles if you have any left. Six dozen would be grand but I'll take what I can get. I can give you a selection of home brew or some Coopers Stout if you prefer. The HB selection is a little young, being 3 week old LCPA, 2 week old Hightail Ale, and 1 day old Coopers Bitter
