Hey there,
I'm only new to the brewing of beer. I've made a couple of successful batches with the coopers kit, but want to start getting into the glass bottles because apparently they're better for longer term storage.
is there anyone out there that wants to sell some excess bottles and/or a capper?
Cheers,
Terry

I have some on Ebay, but postage would be a killer

. I actually have a spare capper too, but it is my reserve just in case

.
My capper fell apart at the wrong time once (Screwed back together) but in the panic, I quickly grabbed the other bench capper, and away I went again

.
Sorry, no help really, but Ebay does have quite a few in Vic as there seems to be a fellow who is selling them all the time.
My excess is from some HB stuff I bought off ebay.
I have over 400 longies already and a truckload of stubbies, that's the only reason.

Thanks for all your replies! I only just moved from Newcastle to Melbourne, but would have loved to take you up on the offer Boonie.
Sorry I havn't gotten back to anyone yet. I'm still looking (although it has been a half arsed search so far). The search continues as my 3rd brew, which should be a Wheat beer, is almost ready to be bottled.
Velophile, sounds great. I'll get in contact with you

Okay, for what it is worth, when I did bottle, I never used a capper on the twist top's, It was and still is, my belief, that it was better to save the old top's off the commercial beer, screw on by hand and using a twist cap remover, just a little more than hand tight, happy to say, I never got a flat beer. Still got a few longnecks and stubbies up the shed, anyone local, 10 bucks for 30, also got a couple lever cappers in good nick, $5.00 each.
Cheers,
Bill.
A Joyful homebrewer wings his way home with a couple of cappers under his arm..!

Hey Bill, I haven't heard from Terry since I dropped 6 dozen boxes of the out-of-date beer at his place.
He may still be hung over.
