i ran into a friend of yours on the Intercontinental pub crawl Oliver and he told me you had hurt your back, sorry if it's already been posted but just thought i'd let everyone have a go at saying we hope you get well soon

For sure, get well very soon.

I'm the unhappy owner of a bad back that has put me to ground a few times, usually when you least expect it.

Best wishes Oliver - I hurt my back playing league a few years ago and despite extensive physio and "back exercises" it has never been the same.

Stopped a promising greenkeeping career where I could sink many, many beers after work

Cheers,

Mick

Cheers for that guys, and sorry I've only just noticed this post

I had a prolapsed/bulging disc that caused the worst pain (sciatic, down the back of my leg) that you could imagine and had surgery. A 1.5 x 2.5cm piece of disc had prolapsed and partly broken away. They reckon it was the second-worst prolapse they'd seen :!: :!:

So instead of being at the World Cup Cricket in the West Indies I was laid up in bed recovering from a back op.

Not much fun, I can tell you.

All better now though

Hope you get better very soon.
I know exactly what you are going through, I had this surgery 40 years ago when I was only 19, for a large prolapse of my L5-S1 disc.
I must say that it instantly cured me of the excruciating pain I had going down my leg. I manage to play golf at least twice a week these days, and never have back pain or referred pain anymore. Hope you have the same result.
Cheers.

I put the entire affliction down to a lack of adequate lubrication

Wow, I cricked my back taking a spectacular beach cricket catch on Sunday, it's an old injury that I did first when I was 21. I thought I had it bad, but this stuff puts it into perspective.

At least I don't need surgery, just need to stretch and strengthen mine (once all the muscles stop spasming and the tear or strain or whatever it is heals).
