I am interested in keg brewing and I am wondering if I set up a kegorator, how long will the beer last after it has been opened/gassed whatever.

Will it last a couple of weeks ???

(And yes, I suspect how thirsty you are will have something to do with it)

When it really starts tasting good is when the keg runs out, the longest I have heard of a beer in a keg was going on 2 years - it was a stout.

Gassing it shouldn't make a difference, as it's CO2 you're adding. The primary problem associated with kegs once they're "opened" is when people are using a party pump on their keg. This pumps in air instead of CO2, which introduces oxygen, which causes oxidation which will spoil the beer in a day or two. A normal kegging system doesn't have this problem, and thus the beer should last as long as it would normally if you had bottled it.

The main problem is it just wont last when on tap.

You tend to find that out pretty quickly.
