I can get a slab of it from Dan Murphys for about $60. It's not 1998 but who cares.

I'll drink to that, Lethal. If you like it, drink it!
That said, I occasionally fork out a bit extra to try something I haven't tasted yet. I'm currently going through the Grand Ridge range (getting about a 6-pack every month), I've had the Pilsener, Pale Ale, and Blonde. All worth a try but I don't think I'd go out and buy a slab of it.

And im sure you wouldnt pay over $500 per 6er either
I know i bloody wouldnt
All jokes aside, a mate of mine was telling me about a wedding they just went to where the grand ridge beers were all they had, he tried a few and said the wheat was absolutely awesome and the stout was very good along with the pilsner, i think that was all he tried but was very impressed with them by the sound of it

Just imagine how much homebrew you could make with $2000, let alone $10 000.

$10k would buy you a three tier HERMS system and conical to go with it. Maybe even have change for a keg system.
Cheers,
Greg

My wife could not believe when I spent 70 on a case of 2006

.............
Let alone what this clown is asking
The beer is good, even great, but not worth that much.
Cheers

Especially when Coopers themselves only recommend cellaring for 18-24 months. You'd think if the beer would get better when kept longer they'd mention it. I bought a slab of 2006 for keeping for 12-18 months but will probably keep a 6-pack for longer to see how it matures.

They are not really a super-premium beer anyway.
I remember buying them in Victor Harbour for about $2 a stubbie from the bargain bin a few years back!

Pale Ale, you are indeed the un-disputed king of the bargain bin

I got kilkenny for 50c a can (7 in total) from a bargain bin. It was the last time I ever enjoyed kilkenny. Such a shame.

Are you trying to claim Pale's title?

Ah... no.
Though you shouldn't knock the bargain bin. Especially at Dan Murphy's, where they often mislable/misprice good bottles of wine.

I just wish Dan Murphys was closer to me, so I can check out the Bargain Bin.
