What a knock that was!
Sit out the first over on zero, wait for Clarke to get his 100, then BANG! Four off the first ball and he hit his 100 like a freight train.
Tremendous.
I wonder, however, whether Hoggard deliberately spilled that last ball wide......do they really know?

Pathetic innings by Gilchrist in the end, had Viv Richard's record for the taking and blew it.

If anyone else ( apart from good old Viv ) can do what gilly did yesterday then feel free to critisise cos i dont think sitting back in your armchair swillin piss counts for cricket skill/knowledge, not to mention the fact that he didnt even know that he had the record in his sights untill he got back to the clubroom

You poor fellow, I'm in England for the Ashes. Amusing myself greatly with it, although I'm leaving tomorrow. Be on a plane back home by the time we have secured the urn. Should celebrate by drinking all the free piss I can on the plane.

Don't hold your breath. The Poms did well today and I hope they win this test.
I'm an Aussie through and through but I want a contest, 'cause I have tickets for the last day in Sydney.
I always like nail biters.

Gilly is a legend.
Was only last week they were saying he was gone and over the hill, then he treats us to one of his best innings yet. Hardest thing is, I train kids at cricket and all they want to do is belt it like Gilly or Punter.
Cheers
Boonie
