Hi all,

Has anyone any ideas for any new forum sections?

We're going to start one shortly on all-grain brewing (See http://www.homebrewandbeer.com/forum/vi ... hp?p=37866)

Are there any ideas about any other new sections?

Please let me know, as it would be good to create new sections in one hit.

Any ideas at all welcome (within reason :wink: )

Cheers,

Oliver2 (Oliver)

wasn't there talk a while back about a spirits section and a wine section as well as the all grain one?

Sounds like an all right idea.

So far we've got

*All-grain
*Wine
*Spirits

Any more ideas?

Should the 'Wine' section be expanded to 'Wine, Mead and Cider'?

They don't appear to get enough traffic to support thier own sections but an 'Other fermented beverages (Cider, Mead and Wine)' could be a goer.

Good idea i reckon, oh and oliver said in a different post that the recipes will all stay in the same section but im inclined to think that a recipe section for just all grain alone would be a good idea, Just my opinion. :lol: :lol:

OK then, what do you all think about the changes so far?

I've:
* Added a wine, mead, cider, etc, section.
* Added an all-grain section.
* Added a spirits section.
* Added a pubs and bars section.
* Added a section to discuss cooking with beer, and food/beer pairings.
* Moved "The Battle for Cooper's" section to a new area called Archive.
* Moved "The Store" to Miscellaneous from Homebrew.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Have I overlooked anything? Should there be more sections? Have I gone overboard?

I was thinking perhaps a section to discuss kegging, and all bases would be covered.

I want this to be the last time I add sections :wink: :o

Over the next few days I'll sort out existing posts into the new areas if everyone's happy with the new structure.

PLEASE let me know.

Oliver

Thanks guys.

A last proposition ...

How about if I add:

* A Kegging section
* Create a separate section for all-grain recipes, as many of you have suggested (if it dies in the a--- I can always recombine it with the general recipes section).

That should cover all bases.

Let me know.

Cheers,

Oliver

Yep, a kegging section sounds really good. I think the recipes should stay together as I normally work out recipes with an all-grain or all-extract option, but whatever you reckon.

Thanks, rwh

Also, I was just thinking that partial mash/mini mash brewing should be under all-grain section, too, as it requires similar methods, ingredients and equipment ...

Thoughts anyone?
