how long would it take in the freezer to cool a 375mL bottle and a 750mL bottle in the freezer?
how long would be too long and cause the bottle to break?

Depends on your freezer. I have one that blows cold air on the bottles and it takes not very long.

When I put it in my regular fridge freezer, it is alot slower as it does not blow cold air and is full of this stuff called "food" . Dunno what that is, but it does not come in a bottle.

My mate does a frosty which he reckons is good for 10 minutes in freezer for a longie. He wets a "Thick n Thirsty" paper towel and wraps the bottle in it. Then he throws this in the freezer. Makes sense as the paper turns to ice pretty quick and would be similar to throwing in your esky. :D

Cheers

My freezer may be slow but ive left some longies in there for up to 1 hour, no matter what sort of freezer you use just check the bottle every 10 mins and you cant go wrong

i'v left bottles in the freezer for well over 3 hours and have been fine. way too cold to drink, i needed to warm 'em up 1st, but no signs of breakage.

3 Hours, Shite, mine would have exploded by then :!:

As Lethal said just check em. I check em on my cheek to ensure they are cold enough....the cheek on my face  not on my arse

Insert ass joke here

I have blown at least 6 longies. I do turn my freezer right up to get them cold ASAP, which can have dire consequences

Ive exploded a couple back in the day  my god what a frosty mess in the freezer, its natural for them to explode as they freeze, liquid expands as it freezes and in a glass bottle it has nowhere to go but out

It's after the 8th long neck that you put 'one last one' in the freezer. You wake up the next morning and remember it!

Back in my Uni days I went to a friend's 30th and someone left a coldie *shudder* in his freezer standing upright.
He found it the next day and the beer had slowly expanded and pushed the cap off and into the roof of his freezer putting a big dent in it! He wasn't happy.

Whenever I put longnecks in the freezer I set the timer on my phone to an hour... they seem to be the perfect temp after that

Yeah, when I put beer in the freezer (or wine, for that matter), I always set the timer on the stove. I have not exploded any bottles, but I have successfully frozen some.
