wondering if the mods can put a forsale section on here as i'm sure people would be getting out of homebrewing or get goods deals for everyone else, just a thought

a for sale section might be a good idea but why would you get out of homebrewing? If you did you have to go back to drinking mass produced lawn-mower beer!
But hey if people want to get out I'd be happy to to take some kit of their hands!!

not sure on that front Dogger, maybe we could have a separate section just for our Canadian brewers.

yeah, the postage could be a killer, not to mention that if Canadian Post are like Aust Post there would be no guarantee the goods would arrive undamaged anyway

Yeh Grab, they are no better here,
The fact is another government agency would come into play to, the custom and excise people
What the hell is an excise anyway, I thought you did that in the morning to get healthy but apparently I am wrong.

Dunno if the politicians are as big a bunch of pricks in Canada as they are here, Dogger, but ours charge an excise on all things that people buy shitloads of and won't question. They can't call it a tax 'cause they abolished names for taxes a few years ago and threw it all under the heading of GST, which is currently 10% on top of the cost of everything. If the bastards want to take, say, 50% of the cost of petrol, they call it an "excise", not a "tax". The very reason that I took up homebrewing is because the bastards also apply an excise on beer, which they increase as frequently and by as much as they see fit for no other reason than because they can. Because its not a "tax", see.... So Mr Howard can take the 10% of bugger-all that it costs me to purchase the ingredients for my homebrews, and shove his beer excise as far it'll go!
Sorry, had to get that out

Hi guys,
There's nothing stopping anyone posting "for sale" notices in this section of the forum, and there have already been some posts about sales, etc.
If it appears there's a need I'll set up a section devoted to selling items and cheap beer or homebrew supplies.
So get posting!
But I agree with grabman - why would anyone want to stop homebrewing.
Cheers,
Oliver
