Is there a new to brewing thread in here?

I've pretty much only done 1 batch myself (from a can, Brigalow Draught infact) and it didn't turn out that good. (So I just drank it quick)

I've done a small amount of reading over the last few days and would like to do some decent beer, but will require some guidance.

:?: Anyone need a project? :?:

I found this one particularly useful:
http://www.howtobrew.com by John Palmer.

No particular thread for newbies as all are welcome simply ask away and someone will answer your questions.

For a simple good starting beer try something like Coopers Lager, Pale Ale or Bitter tin (whatever you like) with a 1kg Brewiser Ultra Brew Sugar mix and try and keep the temprature of the fermenter around 18 - 22 deg if you can.

In the 'Making beer forum,' read the thread: Simple things that make homebrew better.

ADHD,

Brigalow is absolute filth of the first order. Because of it I stopped homebrewing for over 25 years.

Try some of the Coopers products, follow the instructions and you should be right.

Good call, Chris. I was going to suggest just that.

The thread is is good for novice and experienced brewers alike and is here:

Cheers,

(Notice that the thread number of that link is 1966? That's the last time St Kilda won the flag. Gee I enjoyed the footy at the Telstra Dome last night. Go Crows.)

Yeah, I think so. I just got sucked in by the price...
But you only get what you pay for.

Does Cooper Homebrew taste anything like the commercial stuff?

It can. I haven't made a great deal of their new stuff like the Pale Ale and Thos Coopers Sparkling Ale, but believe they're not far off the mark.

The stout isn't bad.
