Conditioning Lager

Post by PaulT »

Hello
Long time reader first time poster.
I would like your thoughts on a Cooper Barvarian Larger i am currently doing. When bottle conditioning lager, is it best to leave the bottles in the cuboard for a few months and then drink, or just leave in the cuboard for a couple of weeks to carbonate then store in the fridge for a few months before drinking.

Thanks

2nd option, its a proper lager yeast, so carbonation is prob best at 14c or so (although room temp wont kill it), and then lagering in fridge for month or 3 for a proper lager. Although the local breweries call their beer "lager" and run a 7 day turnaround!
