Is there such things as different types of beer glasses...i.e. Ale & Lager glasses?
If this is the case...where can one get some of these?

I drink all beer outta the stemmed beer glass "c", except mine would be about 320ml, just right for 2 pours from a 640ml bottle and leaving the sediment behind. I find that shape keeps the beer in good nick. Tested lots of glasses and personally like those the best. I used to print beer glasses, wine glasses, wine bottles, and shooters some years back
Cheers, Ed

So would you consider doing it again...with the prices from the website in my previous thread, you could do quite well from it & they only charge $15 P+H to anywhere in Oz and any quantity!

Nah Jack, everything's too competitive now. It was a pain printing on glass and ceramics, all needed to be kiln fired and printing was all done in climate controlled room. Enjoyed the process and still have a few glasses left though. Was making the glasses for Redback, and also some of the smaller breweries over here.

Sorry Jack, I've only some of the samples left now

. I should've thought and kept a heap of them. Ah, hindsight

To think of the thousands I did and now to only have 1 Redback.

I've got a set of Pilsiners which are great, two pours from a long neck and they look great when they are full with a rich head.
I've been trying to find a set of stemmed glasses but bigger than that, I find anything <300ml annoying. Where did you find yours Ed??

RP, got them as leftovers when I was printing glasses. I think they came from Gibson & Patterson. I would have got them wholesale, but I think you can also walk in from the street. Not sure, but think they have stores around Australia or maybe can be ordered online

For lagers and pale ales I like to drink from my pilsner glasses (I just found out they're called that from the link someone posted). For ales, amber ales and wheats I have a glass which is similar to the tall pilsner glass but it curves inward toward the top instead of flaring out, it also has a nice metal trim around the top of the glass. For stouts and dark ales I like to drink them out of a mug (any type of mug) or a pint glass. I usually use the mugs for my home brew as well.
I have these stemmed glasses which I don't even think are beer glasses, I can't work out what they are for; definitely not wine. I like to use those for pilsners and amber ales. I wanted some real stemmed beer glasses for my birthday and asked my girlfriend for some but she said she went to buy them and they look too girly!

- She ended up getting me some more mugs instead and I'm just as happy with those.
Don't ask me why I choose which glass for which beer, for some reason certain types of beers taste better out of certain types of glasses to me. I have no idea what type of beer is supposed to go with what type of glass, I've always just gone with what seems right to me.
