I think I've found a new fave...I had one of these last night & I know it's not a new brew & has been around a long long time, but never thought to try it...but, I have & I love it. The creamy head, and slightly nutty finish went down a treat!

I'll have to pick up a 6 pack, I've been experimenting a bit of late. I'll make a trick to Durphies tomorrow and try some.

Cheers. I'll make sure I try both. Also, forgive my spelling, It's been a big night. Might ask my GF to drive me to Durphies tomorrow, as in NSW P platers can't have any alc in their blood (one of thos B/S laws thats is supposed to decrease the P plater road toll).
Cheers mate,
- Jim.

Welcome Jack!
Welcome to the real world of good beer, enjoy and savour your stay...
I stray to exotic rarer beers but I often come back to the JS AA

Why thank you MHD, you're too kind!
I also had a Coopers Pale Ale while I was in the mood for variety & it was quite good too...would be damn good on a stinkin' hot day at the footy or cricket!

JSAA is my favourite winter beer along with Rogers (little creatures) when I can get that at a decent price the good thing about any squires is the fantastic heavy duty bottles make excellant "taster" bottles for trial brews. (working to put at least a six pack or two down per new brew to try at intervals)

I'm a huge fan of the Golden Ale, especially on tap. Shame it is hard to find.

I got one of those those 6 or 8 packs of a variety of 'premium' beers for Christmas. I had the James Squire Amber Ale a few years back and didn't really like it, though I hadn't really aquired much of a taste for good beer then (I was only about 18 and only drank VB, Carlton Cold etc. ). When I tried it this time I thought it was fantastic, one of the best beers I've ever had.
A bottle of Pilsner Urquell came in the pack too, that was fantastic. Another of my all time favourites now. I can't wait to buy some of these in bulk when I see a decent price and have a spare bit of cash.

For me the JSAA is pure drinking heaven on tap. I tend to smash a few every Friday arvo at the local.
Cheers,
Jay.

Picked up a 6er of this the other day. The first one tasted very strange though I'm quite sure it was simply my tastebuds screwing around on me. I proved this by having a Coopers PA and finding that didn't taste right either. Had another one the next day and was quite impressed. It's certainly got a unique flavour to it. I wouldn't class it as a favourite but hey, there's still 4 of them in the fridge. I'm with you on the pilsener dags, damn fine.

JSAA is one of my favourites. First tried it when a friend bought me a carton for installing her airconditioner. She chose it because she liked the look of the carton, just as well whats inside the bottles is damn fine as well. Got all my friends trained now to buy this one for me whenever they feel the need. Been to JS ale house in Darling harbour a couple of times and rate it, bit exy though. On my way through Brisbane, I stopped in at the Whistlestop pub in central station, they had schooners of JSAA for about $2.30. Needless to say I stayed for a while, rest of the arvo is a bit hazy......
