well seeing as summer has well and truley arrived (meant to hit 42 in melb tomorrow  ) I thought that it was about time to get peoples favourite 'bloody hot' weather beers down on the record.
Persoanlly, I drink pretty much anything but nothing beats a real crisp and bitter pilsner when the suns trying to cook me alive.
The canadian blonde and light mexican style beers also go down nicely but the bitter kick on a really chilled pilsner is a great way to counter the heat.

Any of my homebrews simo, as long as theyve been chilled in the freezer to that point where they are cold enough but no ice in the beer. Add to that list, an ice cold coopers Pale or Sparkling.

Along with my favourite glass just out of the freezer.

Weather like this means I am likely to savour any beer as long as it is ice cold. In fact the best beer i ever had was a Carlton Draught on the footpath outside the Napier Hotel, while wearing a suit after a wedding. It was 42 degrees and I was spitting sparks. As long as it is bitter as buggery and ICE cold, then any beer can be my "ideal summer beer"! Its as hot as forty fat bastards right now and I have one of my wifes Coronas, not my usual tipple, but COLD. And not bad...

Cold,

Don't need a lot of bitter for me, but cold. Brain Freeze cold.

Yeh don't mind a few melbourne bitters on a stinker. But as long as it is beer and cold it goes down well on hot days.

A nice cold wheat beer is always good, too.

But it's a toss-up with a Coopers Pale Ale and a good pilsner.
