Service non existant

Ivé had to switch grain suppliers this week.
The only HBS here who stocks grain has been stuff'n me around for far too long.

Many times it has taken up to 3 weeks from placing an order to recieving it & it usually takes a phone call after 2 weeks to get that!
Ordering via Email with his "spread sheet" of normally stocked items, I still, to this day, have never had a reply to say "order recieved" or "ready for dispatch" so I can make payment via Direct Deposit.

Last order, I waited 2 weeks, still no grain, so I rang & am told, "it's on the way" one week later, you guessed it, still no grain so I rang again & get "oh we need to recive payment before we send now". Well that's news to me!!

I had to drive a 2hr round trip to get the bloody thing only to find that he had told me to choose 25Kg on his spread sheet for a Bulk Bag discount price which he quoted me. then packed 20Kg because postage over 20 Kg is dearer.

So the B%$#ard was going to let me deposit 25Kg price in his account & only send me 20Kg of grain!
I wonder how many times he has got me with that one?????????

This time I placed an order via Email on the 28th Oct, & as at yesterday 23rd Nov....Still no grain, even after 2 phone calls in as many weeks.
Rang him & told him to stick it, then placed an order with Ross. problem solved!
postage will be about $14 dearer but at least I will get what I order, when I order it.

Rant over,
just had to get that off my chest,
Cheers, Mick.

Glad you let him know what you thought of his business practices before you went elsewhere, Mick. Good on you.

I think you'll find Craftbrewer's service a big improvement.

Yeh Bum,
Ivé ordered gear from Ross before, Tempmate, some grain early on & Polyclar etc,
Have always found his service to be excelent. He even makes the time to call me if needed.

My first Tempmate was playing up about 12 months ago, I Emailed him about & he said to send it back & he would replace it.
Low & behold, he sent me the new one before he'd even sighted the old......Can't complain about service like that hey!

Just a shame about the tyrany of distance & extra cost, but you get what you pay for some times!

Mick.
