Hi team,

Well, it's a year, almost to the day, since the last post in this topic, but something important has come to my attention.

It's this: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CYMOBIJN

It's a 1980 concert by The Angels recorded in Denver and apparently broadcast on the BBC. (The Angels were known as Angel City in the US.)

The songs are:

1) No Exit
2) Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again
3) Strait Jacket
4) After the Rain
5) Marseilles
6) Be With You
7) Shadow Boxer
8) Take a Long Line
9) Can't Shake It

The download is in .rar format. I downloaded this little app to "unzip" it: http://www.7-zip.org/ Once you download and install, you just need to go to Tools>Options and stick a tick next to the .rar box, then you're away.

You can read (a little) more about the concert here:
http://pub7.bravenet.com/forum/599497313/show/694906
and
http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f90/an ... 59335.html

Cheers,

Oliver

TL,

Have you got the Denver concert that was broadcast on the BBC, as I talk about above? From what I can gather it was never released as an album.

I'd be interested to know if it was.

Cheers,

Oliver

Dragged this one up as I am going to the KISS Concert this Thursday with my Brother-In-Law.....my kids did not want to go to KISS, therefore, they are out of the will.

Bon Jovi were Brilliant, better than ever actually and I have seen them 3 times. This will be my 4th KISS Concert and I am really looking forward to it.

I saw Paul Stanley at the Newcastle Ent Centre and he was awesome. Alot of empty seats, but that was great as he interacted with the crowd like never before.

Cheers

Skid Row kick arse, as does Bach by himself, man he's still got it. It doesn't seem like that long ago he was here, can't believe it's been over a year already.

Are there new bands that are actually calling their music "rock'n'roll"?

In the immortal words of Marilyn Manson...

"Rock is deader than dead."

If that guy wasn't such a freak I reckon he could be a very good musician. He is certainly intelligent enough and he has a heap of talent. Just not sure the stuff he records could be considered music... :?

If you can get your hands on "The long hard road out of hell", his autobiography, you should pick it up. It's am awesome read and you'll realise why he's so f**ked up. He was also asked to take the roll of head priest of the Satanic Church once Anton LaVey passed, but refused. I wouldn't really call his a musician either but more of an actor that can put on an awesome show.

Oh, my missus met him in about 1997 and she reckons he's the nicest bloke

i have to say that KISS being in town was almost enough to make me go the Grand Prix - though clearly not enough. Did see Bach last year when he was out with GnR - but this year's big concert was Iron Maiden...now there is a band

Nope NX FM Newcastle on the way in with Steve and Kim and Hamish and Andy on the way home....'tis only 15 Minutes to home......and a mixed CD when I'm bored.

SKID ROW, I have their CD in my car too......legends.

Could have gone to Maiden but wimped out as I had already spent a shiteload on Jovi and was waiting for KISS.

Can't wait :D

Cheers

Fair enough Boonie, I forgot about that song and must agree it was not too bad.

I grew up on punk rock and underground hardcore stuff which most people would probably not be impressed with. I do listen to a bit more corporate stuff now that I am getting older, can't say I enjoy most of it though...
