There are a few on here but they dont come around to often any more, 1 being cat and i cant remember the others name but they are out there and it would seem that they brew a mighty fine beer to, did you know that apparently back in the day it was the women who brewed all the beer as one of their house duties

Cat's still brewing, but I don't know if she's still lurking the forum or not.
Haha I saw Cat the other night and she was telling me about the last brew that she did: some kind of thing with honey and stuff in it. She went to bottle it with her boyfriend (who's also a homebrewer) and apparently it smelled absolutely amazing, but tasted sour, watery etc etc. Probably because she'd left it in the fermenter for 5 months! The water in her airlock had dried up and everything.
I think maybe exams got in the way, and she just never got around to bottling it. She assured me that she was going to up her form though. She was drinking a homebrewed bottle of lemonade at the time, which might be spurring her on to better things. And to think we bought her a bottle capper, racking hose and second fermenter for her last birthday... glad she's getting the best possible use out of them!
The other female that I've noticed on here is Copperhead Deb; she's a master of creative ginger beers; I'm yet to try her "Ginger Blush" but it's on the list!
1st HB activities about 25 years ago, kit + kg (white sugar). Good results with temp control. Business & family demands put a stop to the enjoyment.
Back again last year. Started with kit & kg (dextrose this time), but swayed towards 2 can brews after visiting a NZ site. Have proved superior for my taste, especially when I remember to have Safale yeast to replace kit offerings.
Not the oldest bugger here, but just think! I may be one day (sorry 39'er).
Heading for the big five-0 this year.Started brewing beer in 91 when the third bundle of joy came along.(couldn't afford those green tins anymore)
10yr K&K and then we got the internet! 4yr partial & 1 yr AG.
And have enjoyed every drop.
Cheers Glenn.
