Sending Dogger Dan a 6 pack for Christmas

Talk about really bad timimg. Just met up with one of my work colleagues in the corridor. He is off to , would you believe, Ontario CA this Sunday! Said he would be happy to carry a care package. But then we questioned the logistics of acquiring the individual beers, getting them to him, suitably packaged, with him not coming into work again until he goes. In the end, he said, prefer not this time, but perfectly happy to next time.
So, in the unlikely event that DD remains persona gratis into the mid-term future, consider another package at some time, one not so dominated by pale ales, and I will arrange transport gratis (particularly if I have to buy 6 packs and drink 5 in order to get the one of each required for the care package

).

He mentioned a number of places. Not all stuck in my memory. London, Oakville, Niagara, someplace starts with a "W", ... Appreciate the place is sort of large.

I am sure that you know that VB stands for Victoria Bitter. What you may not be aware of is WHY Victorians have VB: it is because they deserve it!

That fat green can looks very odd amongst the skinny supermodel style 330ml bottles of Goat, Jamieson, LC, & Grand Ridge- and by the way the Grand Ridge is by far the best looking of the lot.
But then again only the Coopers & VB are 375ml- did anyone notice how these days brewers are shrinking the stubbie?

dont get me started on that 1 uc1

i've recently been sampling a few english beers.. of which the majority are 500ml.. it's nice to have a beer that fills my pint glass.. it sucks switching back to the 330-345ml bottles - a 1/2 filled glass is not on

...i guess i could just get a smaller glass... but

Yes , it's gone. No idea how long it will take to get there- the Post Office people can't tell you stuff like that any more.
Would rather not list the contents- a couple of suprises in there. Will let DD tell everyone what he got when the parcel arrives.

Speaking of packs being sent through the post, yesterday I received an entirely unexpected package from Belgium. Turns out one of my friends was there. He recalled my passion for Belgium beer, and glasses of any origin, and sent me a package that (originally) contained two Leffe glasses, and four assorted Leffe beers in 330ml.
What arrived was a soggy and rather crumpled package, smelly strongly of beer (sounds a bit like the way I turn up at home most nights

). It contained three complete Leffe bottles, and lots of broken glass

I do hope Dogger has better fortune. Who knows, maybe he will get really lucky, and the VB will arrive broken

Everything is individually bubble-wrapped & bagged, packed seperately in cardboard wine crate dividers, and a load of those foam peanut things.
Here's hoping...should be on the boat by now.
Labelled it as "collectable glassware/bottles", for what that may be worth at Canadian customs.

that might mean they just throw it to back of the truck and not run over it with forklift! That is if they operate like Austpost! (Hopefully no austpost boys on here!!!)
