Ya rekon??? I'm really struggling to keep up with consumption rates.. :(
People always ask me, do I drink any more than usual now I HB.

My Reply "I do not drink anymore"

"I don't drink any less either"

:D

In actual fact as I have stated here before, I reckon my consumption has dropped off....ever so slightly.

Cheers

That just sounds so sensual and sexual, actually I felt like that when the delivery came, im scared what gonna happen to me when I put my nose in the bag. :) I w would like to know is it better than putting your nose into something else??? :P

eeeeerrrrr..........I'm very fussy about clean toilets.
Hence I always make sure I run a complete quality check program on any bottles of beer before they go down the toot.
Step 1 is a visual inspection of colour and clarity.
Step 2 is to smell it to ensure it is not spoiled.
Step 3 is to taste it to ensure it is not spoiled.
Step 4 is to swallow it to ensure the stomach can cope with it.
Step 5 is to run a kidney check on it.
Step 6 is to run a bladder sensitivity check on it.
Only then, after it has passed all the quality checks, will I allow a bottle of beer to go anywhere near my toot.

Oh, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah AH.. That was good. :P

Well, I opened a bag of cascade hops this morning and stuck my nose in, please see above response... :D

I can tell anyone from the smell of them, that they are by far way superior than any of that crap teabag hops.

The teabags really dont smell like anything compared to these hops, and I think I paid $2.20-$2.60 for 12gr of the teabag hops in comparison to the hops ross sells, his work out at $1-$1.20 for the same amount of hops... :D

Even if you buy 1x 90gr bag of ross's hops and have them delivered, you would come out equal in price, but with much superior quality, will be even cheaper buying a few packs plus some other goodies... :D

Who doesnt love the fresh smell of hops and boiling malt. except most women. must be a special man-beer bond that exists naturally in nature. on the smell of hops and pot, you guys realize that hops and weed are of the same essential genetic family. i have even thought about using some as a hop replacement. some of the fruity tastes and smells you get from some strains is amazing. before any one says comparative costs. i live in adelaide. so it can be cost effective depending on who you know. the problem with it is, being "ilegall" it would be hard to get a consistent availability of the selected fruity strains. most are after quantity/yield and dont give a shit about what strain it is and what it smells/tastes like. so to end my dribble. i am willing to attempt it as im willing to experiment with my beer to no end. i will give results when i end up trying it.

ps. i can understand how people think they smell similar (grassy), but i think they smell dissimilar.

I agree that they smell dissimilar.

On a related note, because they're closely related, it's actually possible to graft hops bines onto the root stock of a pot plant. Then the hops plant incorporates THC into the hops. I believe that in the US they're starting to control the availability of hops plants because this technique is becoming a problem in their "war on drugs". I think they should just decriminalise pot, but then again I'm an Australian and I think US policy is totally rooted in a lot of ways, resulting in them having the highest rate of incarceration in the world. But I digress.

Well the Hops I smelt, smelt similar to the pot I did a side by side on... That's my nose's opinion anyway.

Don't forget there are probably more strains of pot that hops.

Cue the botanists, but apparently Humulus Lupus is not too distant a cousin of Cannibae?

I must confess that I can smell the different hops - especially the one's I grow. This weekend I've put in my last lot of root stock after moving a heap into the front yard - and swapping some rhizomes. So far I have Mt Hood, Pride of Ringwood, Chinook, Cascade and Goldings bedded down in the front yard, getting ready for spring...The PoR is 2yo and the Chinook and Goldings are 3 yo...

If you thought pellets were a quantum leap from teabags (and I agree they certainly are), try using your own flowers!!

Cheers,
