i just scored a unused frementer and bottles and bits and peices and 2 cans of coopers larger went out of date in 2003 ,

any sugestions on what to do with it ???
any way i did it with just a new yeast and coopers BE2 it is heaps darker !!!than normal !!!

doesnt taste too bad either , hope i dont get any side effects from drinking it
Just be careful. Some side effects I have noticed is that after about 8-10 my head becomes a little dizzy and shite dribbles from my mouth......hang-on, that happens even with non expired beer too.

I just made a Bronco Bitter that my local HBS had left over and sold me cheaply due to expired yeast.

I used a yeast I found in the bottom drawer. It was all silver with HDB in print on it. I am stuffed if I know what yeast it was....anyhow, I made it with 1kg of Liquid Malt and some Crystal Liquid I had left over from a Cold Steep experiment.

Tastes OK out of fermenter, albeit a little bitter as I only made it to 20 Litres.

Will be interesting after I keg it this weekend.

Cheers

Boonie

Let's see what Google has to say....

Did you receive the sachet from somebody at the Housing and Development Bank (HDB), Egypt?
Could it be a sachet of hexadimetrine bromide? (there goes your fun and games for quite some time!!)

....oh dear....

It's either a sample of sterile (thank gawd) Herpes Dissociation Buffer, or, you've just added a Hyundai HBD-600 Remote Control Bidet System to your fermenter!

Cheers, and enjoy the beer!!

I researched with the best of my resources, and I can confidently state that HDB presents a problem and a solution, all in one, for you Mr Boonie.

Problem: It stand for "Hyper Dehydrating Beer"

Solution: Drink more beer.

 . I just tasted it out of fermenter and it is not too bad...........

Time to head to the kegs and get another. I am going to blame you warra.

Mrs Boonie, "Are you having another one"
Boonie, "Yep, warra told me I had to, to avoid dehydration....plus it is Friday night"

Cheers
