Well the results are going to be skewed a bit due to the fact the old codgers are not really too well versed in surfing the web. I mean my grandfather is still doing brews at 81 years of age but isnt likely to be voting here !! I do pass on some tidbits of info to him from this site and he says his beer has improved as a result.

Now only if he would turn his toes up and I could get hold of all his brewing equipment not to mention all the brews he has stocked in his cellar !!

Mates brother and friends have got hooked too, their 16ish and want the cheapest, highest alc beer ever, so are not likely on this site.

28; I've been brewing for 6 months. My dad always did the kit and white sugar; never thought it was much chop... so it took meeting some younguns who brewed to get me into it. :)

We need something to help get our confidence up. Plus the money we save we can spend on impressing them.

Well I'm 21 and have been brewing for just over a year.

31. brewed during my uni years (all 8 of them) when funds were tight but was strictly a kit plus a brew enhancer. Not many mates drank them. Got back into it late last year after a 5 year break. Now, with help from you lot - hops, grains, bulk priming, patience etc i have to hide the bastards!

Was surprised to see so many people at the lower end of the age scale too.

Cheers

Just turned 29... Which begs the question, at what point does young begin to morf into not young?

Looks like the average (mean) age is low 30's so anywhere after that and you're in the oldest half!

31.8 to the day.

First brew June or so last year. Latest brew - yesterday.

Next brew - tomorrow.

This is getting outta hand. Glad the girl is more than happy for me to mess up the kitchen, stash empty bottles in all free cupboard space and leave two fermenters on the kitchen bench at any given time, bubbling and farting away merrily.
Jesus is coming - look busy
