why don't we ask the people that matter.. i'm sure Oliver, gregb, NTRabbit etc have appreciated being able to nip some of them in the bud.

depending on the type of spammer, it can also reduce the likelihood of future spam if they're deleted quickly.

I think it's worth a shot still. Get them before they get you. I tend to pick them up by looking at the newest registered member thing at the bottom of the index.
