siphoning

Post by Cadbury »

G'Day Men,
I have just got my hands on a couple of carboys. What is the best method to siphon the wort from the carboy into my bottling bucket?
Many thanks

You can get special siphons for these that include a bung with a straw so you can push the liquid up the hose by increasing the pressure inside the carboy. A bit difficult to explain but I got mine from a vintners supply place. I think it was an Italian made one.
Apart from that, you could get a racking cane from your local HBS that should do the trick.

Cheers,
Tim

You can also use this method to transfer to your bulk priming vessel.
Prost and happy brewing!
