Beersmith Probs

Post by homebrewer79 »

Guys, I'm having a little trouble with my Beersmith program. I have fiddled around with a few of my recipies and saved them, then locked them and I come back a few days later to find it's back to the original version. It's happened about 4 times now
Also it seems to be giving me an incorrect measure of total grain, I add 3kg LLME, 300g of grain, 300g of another grain and it gives me a total grain of 4.54kg. Now this bit only worries me if it's gonna stuff other equations that Beersmith work out based on the 4.54kg, like potential alc and gravity.
Any ideas as to what is happening, I haven't changed any of the important settings
Thats it, you people have stood in my way long enough, I'm going to clown college

I don't know the answers to your problems.
However, if you go to the BeerSmith home page, there is a Support button on the bottom right of the screen.
Click on that, and have a look through the FAQs.
If that doesn't give you the information, just email them and hopefully you will get the answer you are looking for.

I usually have the opposite problem where i mess around with a recipe i've created and forget to save it as a different name, and find my original recipe is no longer...

I have no idea what could cause eveything else... i too would follow warras advice and check the support...
