Redback Wheat Beer - Your kidding!!!
Well after viewing this site and reading a few books on brewing, I noticed that there was a few good things said about wheat beer. YOUR KIDDING. I tried the REDBACK WHEAT BEER and do not rate it at all.
Does anyone else agree?
Can anyone recommend a better wheat beer?

The first time I tried a wheat beer I thought the same as you dan. I tried a redback about fifteen years ago and thought it was fairly ordinary.
However, now I know what to expect from wheat beers i'm a lot more open to their different flavours. Although not my favourite style, I really enjoy a wheat beer in the warmer months.
I haven't tried a Redback for 10 years so I can't comment there, but try a Hoegaarden and if you don't like that, you don't like wheat beers.

"Doc, what can I do about these terrible hangovers?"
'You can stop drinking beer'
"No, seriously Doc, what can I do?"

Can't say I ever liked the Redback wheat myself either, thankfully there are a ton aof microbreweries here in the States which are pumping out some nice heff's and Belgian wits which has rekindled my love of the style (got one fermenting at the moment)
The good thing about wheat beers is if they taste like Sh*t you can always throw in some lemon and knock it back before moving onto something better.

so by the interpretation of the replys, Hoegaarden to Redback would by like Boag's Premium to Toohey's Red. I'm going to get a bottle or 2. Not getting any more than 2 at this stage. The 6 pack of redback cost me $20. That's nearly a 19 litres post mix
just taped my tooheys old - YEAH BABY.

Got to agree with the Erdinger, the have the weiss crystal, dunkel weissen and hefe weissen (not sure on some of those spellings).
The Hoegaarden being a wit (white wheat) also has orange and coriander as adjuncts, whereas the Erdinger is quite different.
Try the Hefe Weissen which is supposed to be cloudy and you may need to roll the bottle to mix the sediment. One of the best wheaties around. IMHO.

There's nothing wrong with having nothing to say - unless you insist on saying it. (Anonymous)
